The UK is recycling components from retired RAF Tornado jets to support next-generation aircraft development. Titanium-rich parts like compressor blades have been processed and 3D-printed into new elements, including nose cones and engine components. The project, led by Additive Manufacturing Solutions (AMS), produced parts fitted onto the Orpheus small jet engine concept, showcasing sustainable practices in defense innovation.
