Palantir Technologies has secured a landmark contract with the US Army, allowing the military to acquire its software and data services for up to $10 billion over the next decade. The enterprise-wide agreement consolidates several existing deals into one long-term partnership.
Known for its deep connections with US national security agencies, Palantir provides advanced data analytics and AI tools. Its technologies are already in use across sectors like finance, healthcare, immigration, and defense.
Founded in 2003 by Peter Thiel and others with backing from the CIA, Palantir has steadily expanded its government footprint. In the first quarter of this year alone, it earned $373 million from US federal contracts—a 45% increase from the previous year.
In addition to the Army deal, the company recently received a $30 million contract from US immigration officials to build a system for tracking deportations and visa overstays.
