Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary headquartered in Stratford, Connecticut, has secured a $433.2 million contract modification from the U.S. Army under the Black Hawk multiyear ten (MY10) procurement program. The modification, designated P00087 to contract W58RGZ-22-C-0010, fully funds Program Year Five and covers the delivery of nine UH-60M utility helicopters and 15 HH-60M medical evacuation helicopters, along with associated program management services.

The award falls under a five-year multiyear procurement agreement signed in June 2022 between Sikorsky and the U.S. Army Program Executive Office Aviation at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. That agreement initially established the acquisition of 120 H-60 Black Hawk helicopters with an estimated value of $2.3 billion, while also including options for up to 135 additional aircraft for the U.S. Army, other U.S. government agencies, and foreign military sales customers. If fully exercised, the contract’s total value could reach approximately $4.4 billion.

The MY10 contract marks the tenth multiyear procurement for the H-60 platform, underscoring the U.S. Army’s continued reliance on the Black Hawk helicopter as a core element of its aviation fleet. Multiyear contracting allows for stable production planning, improved cost efficiencies, and sustained modernization efforts, while also supporting the domestic rotary-wing industrial base.

Under the agreement, annual procurement quantities remain subject to congressional funding decisions and Department of Defense acquisition priorities. Deliveries began in July and are scheduled to continue through 2027, ensuring flexibility as operational requirements evolve. The UH-60M Black Hawk remains the Army’s primary tactical utility helicopter, supporting missions such as air assault, troop transport, cargo lift, command and control, and forward resupply across contested and austere environments.
