Japan has taken delivery of three F-35 Lightning II fighter jets at Komatsu Air Base, each fitted with the latest TR-3 avionics upgrade, including improved displays, processors, and memory. Ahead of their arrival, Japan conducted joint exercises with the US and Italy, including sending the JS Kaga destroyer to the US West Coast for training.
