The US Air Force has selected Shield AI’s Hivemind autonomy software for integration into Anduril’s YFQ-44A “Fury” drone under the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) Increment 1 program. Hivemind will support system-level testing prior to flight demonstrations. Designed as an AI-powered autonomy core, Hivemind enables uncrewed aircraft to execute complex missions independently, reroute dynamically, avoid threats, and respond to unexpected scenarios without constant human input. The platform-agnostic system has been tested on multiple aircraft, including GA-ASI’s MQ-20 Avenger and Airbus’ H145 helicopter.
