In a push to speed up submarine production, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has signed a major contract with six firms to provide systems and services for the Virginia-class submarine program. The total contract value begins at $5 billion, with room to expand over time.

The award is part of the Maritime Acquisition Advancement Contract, which operates on a flexible ordering model and includes five renewal options that could bring the value up to $10 billion. The chosen companies—ASRC Federal, Atlantic Diving Supply, Culmen International, Fairwinds Technologies, S&K Aerospace, and SupplyCore—will support naval logistics and system integration.
