The US Air National Guard is assessing an advanced virtual training environment that blends artificial intelligence with full-body virtual reality to improve operational readiness. Developed by Virtuix, the Omni One platform allows military personnel to physically move within digitally generated combat scenarios using an omnidirectional treadmill, VR headset, and motion tracking equipment. Unlike traditional simulation systems, the platform reproduces natural movement such as walking, sprinting, kneeling, and changing direction while AI dynamically adjusts tactical scenarios. The system supports mission planning, urban combat rehearsals, squad coordination, and decision-making exercises, offering a cost-effective alternative to repetitive live-field training while enhancing realism and tactical preparedness.
