
Shield AI Advances Hivemind Autonomy with Second Successful MQ-20 Avenger Demonstration
Shield AI has completed the second flight demonstration of its cutting-edge mission autonomy software, Hivemind, on the GA-ASI MQ-20 Avenger. Conducted in a live-virtual-constructive (LVC) environment, the test showcased Hivemind’s ability to coordinate tasks between a live aircraft and its digital twin in a complex, simulated mission.
Building on February’s Orange Flag exercise, where the system successfully handled basic operations via a command-line interface, the June demonstration advanced to tactical maneuvers such as formation flying and combat air patrols using A-GRA-compliant mission planning software.
