ARX Robotics, headquartered in Munich, has secured a new contract to supply additional Gereon unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) to Ukraine. The expansion will help create what is expected to become the world’s largest integrated network of robotic ground systems, significantly boosting Ukraine’s technological edge on the battlefield. The Gereon fleet is already active along the front lines, where it has proven its operational value.

Under the new agreement, hundreds of UGVs will be fielded and connected via the company’s Mithra operating system, enabling synchronized, large-scale robotic operations. Production of the systems is distributed across Europe and Ukraine, with local manufacturing partners accelerating output to support faster deliveries and increase industrial resilience.

Developed jointly with Ukrainian firm Frontline, the Gereon platform is part of a broader European-Ukrainian initiative shaped through continuous feedback from frontline operators. ARX has adapted its proven Gereon RCS chassis into a combat-ready configuration, integrating advanced AI technologies to support autonomous tasks.

The Gereon UGV is engineered for demanding missions including obstacle clearance and heavy-load transport. Capable of moving up to 500 kilograms across 40 kilometers, the system can be configured for logistics support, casualty evacuation, and forward-area surveillance. Its versatility allows it to reduce manpower strain while increasing operational efficiency in both military and civilian environments.
