Sweden’s defense firm Saab has entered into a new partnership with Canada’s CAE, signing an agreement to provide advanced training solutions for the GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. The announcement was made during the Swedish Royal Visit to Canada, underscoring the growing defense cooperation between the two nations.

Under the agreement, CAE becomes Saab’s preferred global training and simulation partner for the GlobalEye platform. The partnership also introduces a dedicated Canadian program designed to support the country’s long-term AEW&C operational and training requirements as it advances its airborne surveillance capabilities.

The collaboration will combine Saab’s deep expertise in airborne surveillance systems, command-and-control platforms, and AEW&C integration with CAE’s extensive background in ground-based flight training. This joint approach ensures full-spectrum preparation for GlobalEye crews and mission teams.

CAE’s role includes the development of advanced simulators, mission training environments, and digital learning platforms tailored for pilots, mission operators, and maintenance teams. Training will be executed through CAE’s global center network, ensuring high readiness levels for GlobalEye operators worldwide.
