AeroVironment, known for producing the Switchblade drones used by the US Army, has introduced the Jump 20-X unmanned aerial system (UAS) during IDEX 2025. This new version is a maritime-adapted model of the Jump-20, capable of vertical takeoff and landing. Designed with artificial intelligence for autonomous operations, it is optimized for maritime missions and supports cross-domain dominance. With a modular and open systems design, it can carry third-party payloads and radios and ensures NATO interoperability through compliance with Standardization Agreements.
