U.S.-based technology company Cleo Robotics has unveiled the Dronut DD1, a compact aerial system engineered to operate in environments that are inaccessible to traditional drones and GPS-reliant systems. Unlike conventional quadcopters with exposed rotors, the Dronut DD1 incorporates a ducted fan design, which enhances safety during indoor operations and around human personnel.

This innovative structure not only improves operational safety but also contributes to significantly quieter performance, making it ideal for missions where stealth is crucial. The drone is also equipped with advanced sensors and a longer-range radio communication system, enabling more reliable control and data transmission.

One of the standout features of the Dronut DD1 is its AI-powered navigation system, which allows the drone to function effectively in GPS-denied environments. Whether the satellite signal is lost, jammed, or intentionally disrupted, the Dronut can still navigate and complete its mission autonomously, making it a robust tool for tactical, search and rescue, and intelligence-gathering operations in complex or signal-restricted areas.
