German drone manufacturer Avilus has launched a new generation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) aimed at enhancing mission capabilities in surveillance, emergency medical support, and tactical operations. The innovative drone family includes advanced systems designed for both long-range and responsive battlefield needs.
Leading the new lineup is the Bossard, a high-endurance surveillance UAV capable of flying up to 2,500 kilometers (approximately 1,553 miles). It is outfitted with PrescICR radar and a high-resolution electro-optical system, making it ideal for wide-area monitoring and target tracking in all weather conditions.
Complementing it is the Grille, a fast, lightweight drone capable of reaching speeds of 80 kilometers per hour. Its standout features include modular battery packs for rapid turnaround during operations and a multi-parachute recovery system that ensures a safe landing, especially during low-altitude emergencies. These systems represent a major leap in multi-role UAV design and resilience.
