Emirati defense company EDGE has made a strategic push into Latin America by presenting the ANAVIA HT-100 unmanned helicopter to Brazilian armed forces during a high-visibility demonstration in Rio de Janeiro. This effort is part of EDGE’s initiative to expand its global market presence and showcases the HT-100’s unique capabilities to Brazilian defense stakeholders. The live event offered attendees an up-close look at the platform’s operational flexibility, highlighting features tailored for rapid-response missions across diverse environments.
During the demonstration, the autonomous helicopter impressed audiences with its quick readiness—requiring only 15 minutes from system power-up to takeoff. It then performed a complex array of aerial maneuvers, such as precise hovering, low-speed transits, and advanced flight patterns like figure-eights and tight orbits. These maneuvers established the HT-100’s credentials for reconnaissance, surveillance, and tactical support roles.
A standout capability of the HT-100 is its beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations and real-time situational mapping, which enable operators to conduct advanced missions over vast areas without constant direct oversight. This combination of rapid deployment, operational versatility, and robust situational awareness makes the HT-100 a compelling option for military and security users seeking next-generation unmanned rotary-wing platforms.
