DroneShield, a Sydney-headquartered defense technology company, has secured a significant contract worth 5 million Australian dollars ($3.28 million) from the Australian Defence Force to supply advanced portable counter-drone solutions. Under this agreement, DroneShield will provide its state-of-the-art Drone Gun MKIV and RF Patrol systems, both designed for the detection and disruption of hostile drones on the battlefield.
The company is not only delivering these critical tools but is also positioning itself for a broader ongoing role as a Systems Integration Partner in Project LAND 156. This multi-phase government initiative aims to accelerate the introduction of modern counter-drone capabilities by enlisting participation from both local and international industry leaders. The current phase focuses on integrating and deploying advanced technologies through collaborations across various vendors.
This contract is part of a larger push, representing one installment within a 16.9-million Australian dollar ($11.1 million) allocation under Stage Two of Project LAND 156, which concentrates specifically on acquiring and fielding drone and counter-drone technologies to enhance Australia’s military readiness.
