Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA), an Indian defense startup, has introduced a new loitering munition at a defense aviation exhibition in Paris. Known as the FWD-LM01, the system offers a range of 100 kilometers and is part of FWDA’s line of delta-wing kamikaze drones designed for long-range precision strikes.

The unmanned aerial system is lightweight and man-portable, requiring less than five minutes to deploy without specialized tools. With a 2-meter wingspan and a takeoff weight of 6 kilograms, it provides up to 1.5 hours of endurance.

Capable of reaching altitudes of 17,000 feet, the FWD-LM01 can carry a 2-kilogram explosive payload. It also features an electro-optical infrared sensor and AI-powered targeting and navigation systems for real-time reconnaissance and autonomous mission execution.
