Within the high-end segment of the VLTP program, the French DGA has placed an order for 530 SERVAL vehicles through the joint venture formed by KNDS France and Texelis. Of these, 24 SERVAL C-UAV vehicles will be delivered to the French Army starting in 2028, delivering a critical counter-UAV capability. The French Military Programming Law (LPM) ultimately envisions acquiring a total of 48 such systems.
SERVAL C-UAV: The Newest Addition to a Versatile Family
Fitted with the ARX®30 remotely-operated turret developed by KNDS France, the SERVAL C-UAV offers close protection for high-value assets. This version raises the total number of SERVAL variants to 23, which include electronic warfare, medical, troop transport, VSHORAD, and command post models. The SCORPION program’s strength lies in its flexibility: KNDS France continuously innovates to provide tailored solutions for complex, evolving operational environments like the Ukrainian conflict.
Armed with the high-elevation, rapid-fire ARX®30 30mm cannon, and equipped with radar, radiofrequency detection, and Airburst munitions, the SERVAL C-UAV is a key asset in counter-UAV operations.
SERVAL C-UAV: Essential for Tactical Maneuver Protection
Leveraging its expertise in weapons and ammunition, KNDS France delivers a comprehensive counter-UAV system that ensures operational superiority against aerial threats. The DGA contract also includes the development of a dedicated 30mm Airburst munition.
