Kongsberg Discovery has handed over its HUGIN Superior autonomous underwater vehicle prototype to support the US Navy’s large undersea drone initiative. The AUV passed acceptance trials in Norway earlier this year and had previously undergone a comprehensive technology evaluation by the US Defense Innovation Unit in 2024.
