L3Harris Technologies has recorded a landmark year in 2025 after delivering close to 500,000 fuzes, setting a new production record as weapons manufacturing accelerated across the United States and allied nations. The surge highlights the expanding role of L3Harris’ Fuzing and Ordnance Systems business, which supplies critical components for modern missiles, air defense interceptors, and precision-guided munitions.

Fuzes play a vital role in determining the safe arming and precise detonation of weapons, making them central to mission success in advanced combat systems. According to the company, 2025 fuze deliveries represent an increase of nearly 80 percent compared with the previous year, when more than 280,000 units were shipped across a broad range of defense programs.

Company officials said the growth reflects sustained long-term demand from US Department of Defense programs and allied military customers rather than a one-time surge. Orders for fuzes reached record levels for the second consecutive year, underscoring continued pressure on global munitions supply chains and the need for expanded industrial capacity.

L3Harris has supported this production increase through major contract awards and multi-year supply arrangements. In June 2024, the company received a US Army delivery order valued at up to $872.4 million to produce M762A1 and M767A1 electronic timing fuzes, with performance extending through the decade. Additional momentum continued in July 2025, when L3Harris secured a nearly $15 million contract from the US DoD’s Ogden Air Logistics Complex to support fuze production, sustainment, and inventory growth.
