Morocco has officially received its first Bayraktar Akinci drones from Turkey under a defense deal reportedly finalized in 2023. The milestone was confirmed by Forum FAR Maroc, a semi-official military channel, which emphasized the delivery’s significance in boosting defense ties between Morocco and Turkey. Although the number of drones wasn’t revealed, the move marks the beginning of their integration into Moroccan air operations.
