Russian forces said they seized two additional villages—Rivnopillia and Mala Tokmachka—in southern Ukraine, marking another incremental gain in the Zaporizhzhia sector. While this front is quieter than the east, Russia’s advantage in manpower and equipment is enabling continued movement. In eastern Ukraine, the struggle for Pokrovsk remains critical, with large numbers of Russian soldiers entering the area and weakening local defenses. Efforts toward peace remain at a standstill, as talks between Kyiv and Moscow show no progress and a planned high-level meeting in Budapest was canceled.
