Austria’s Schiebel has expanded its Camcopter portfolio with two armed drones, the S-101 and S-301. The company highlighted that the new systems evolved from the S-100 and its improved S-300 variant, which increased payloads from 50 kilograms to 250 kilograms. The addition of weapons such as guided missiles provides new operational flexibility against irregular and asymmetric threats. Developed under Schiebel Defence GmbH, the drones are designed to perform in contested electromagnetic environments and integrate seamlessly with current military platforms. Chairman Hans Georg Schiebel said the launch underscores Schiebel’s determination to provide adaptable, next-generation armed drones to global forces amid rapidly shifting security challenges.
