In response to escalating tensions with China, Taiwan’s Navy has procured domestically developed loitering munitions to strengthen its aerial strike capabilities. The drones, named Loitering Munition 1, are being manufactured by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) and are currently undergoing final certification trials. Designed with high-explosive warheads, these drones are capable of targeting enemy personnel, armored vehicles, and other critical assets.
