UK marine engineering company ScaffFloat has introduced the MilFloat, a modular multi-role floating platform designed for fast deployment and versatile military applications. The system is engineered to support various missions, ranging from logistics to heavy-lift operations, offering armed forces a flexible maritime capability.
Measuring 16 meters by 6.4 meters (52 by 21 feet), the MilFloat is fully self-propelled and transportable. It can be shipped in standard containers or moved using flatbed trailers, ensuring rapid deployment to operational areas. The platform can carry payloads of up to 30 tonnes (66,138 pounds) while maintaining buoyancy and stability, even when exposed to hostile fire.
ScaffFloat has demonstrated the system’s lifting strength by showcasing the MilFloat transporting a CVT FV103 Spartan armored personnel carrier. The imagery highlights its ability to support heavy equipment transport, underscoring its potential as a reliable solution for amphibious and frontline logistics in contested environments.
