French defense company EOS Technologie has delivered its Rodeur 330 unmanned aerial systems to Ukraine, marking the first shipment of the interceptor drones as Kyiv continues its prolonged defense against Russian forces. The delivery supports Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its unmanned capabilities amid sustained aerial and ground threats.
The handover forms part of a broader initiative to replenish Ukraine’s drone inventory while reinforcing industrial cooperation between France and Ukraine. According to reports cited by AFP, the program aims to counter Russia’s ability to produce up to 1,000 drones per day by deploying cost-effective, scalable unmanned solutions capable of neutralizing large volumes of hostile systems.
EOS Technologie stated that the Rodeur 330 will serve as a protective “shield” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, performing roles that include intelligence gathering, reconnaissance, and one-way attack missions. The delivery follows confirmation in December 2025 that the company would supply Ukraine with long-range loitering munitions, including the Rodeur 330 and a rocket-powered variant, for operational evaluation.
Weighing 25 kilograms and featuring a 3-meter wingspan, the Rodeur 330 can carry a 4-kilogram payload and be assembled in approximately three minutes. The catapult-launched drone offers a loitering time of up to five hours, a 500-kilometer range, and a 5,000-meter flight ceiling. Controlled via a gamepad, the system is delivered as a complete package including a rugged laptop, radio transmitter, antennas, and a dedicated transport case.
