This procurement falls under a long-term contract valued up to $990 million, supporting the fielding of portable precision strike drones across infantry and maneuver formations. The order marks the first deployment of the upgraded Switchblade 600 equipped with an explosively formed penetrator warhead capable of defeating armored threats. Both variants offer high mobility, rapid deployment, and real-time electro-optical targeting, providing soldiers with organic precision firepower.
