General Dynamics has landed a $12.4 billion contract from the U.S. Navy to build two more Block V Virginia-class attack submarines — the USS Baltimore (SSN-812) and USS Atlanta (SSN-813). Originally expected in 2024, the award will help expand workforce and production capacity at the company’s shipyards.
