Uvision Group has acquired full ownership of SpearUAV, a leading Israeli developer of encapsulated and AI-enabled loitering systems. The acquisition strengthens Uvision’s position in the rapidly expanding market for autonomous and semi-autonomous aerial munitions, broadening its capabilities across land, sea, air, and underwater mission environments.

SpearUAV is widely recognized for its Viper family of loitering platforms, compact systems stored in sealed launch canisters. These drones support reconnaissance, precision strike, electronic warfare, and counter-UAS missions. Designed for small-unit deployment, the Viper series can be launched from armored vehicles, naval ships, and even submarines, giving frontline operators immediate access to situational awareness and firepower.

Uvision’s existing portfolio includes the HERO loitering munition family, which is typically deployed at higher tactical and operational levels to support long-range surveillance, target acquisition, and precision engagement. By combining the Viper and HERO product lines, Uvision plans to deliver a fully integrated, interoperable ecosystem covering missions from squad-level operations to centralized command structures.

The acquisition builds on Uvision’s strategic investment in SpearUAV made four years ago — a move both companies say laid the groundwork for deeper collaboration. Uvision noted that the deal aligns with its recent expansion into a new facility supporting manufacturing, R&D, and testing, enabling accelerated growth in the loitering munitions domain.
