Kongsberg Defence Australia has finalized two export contracts to deliver Australian-manufactured Naval Strike Missile (NSM) launchers and advanced command-and-control consoles to European allies. The deals mark a significant milestone for the company as it expands its production footprint beyond Europe and the US.
Under the first agreement, valued at 50 million Australian dollars ($32 million), Kongsberg will provide NSM launchers to Spain and Denmark. This represents the first time these launchers are being produced in Australia for overseas customers, highlighting the country’s growing role in global defense supply chains.
In addition, the company secured a second contract worth 30 million Australian dollars ($19.5 million) to supply NSM Coastal Defence System command-and-control consoles to Poland. These systems are designed to strengthen interoperability and enhance Poland’s coastal protection capabilities.
The new order builds on Poland’s major 2023 purchase of NSM systems valued at 8 billion zloty ($2.19 billion). That deal included missiles, command vehicles, launchers, and simulators, forming the backbone of Warsaw’s modernization program for coastal defense.
