Lockheed Martin and Diehl Defence have formalized an agreement to enhance the production and supply chain of the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptor, bolstering defense manufacturing resilience. Under the memorandum, both firms will explore joint R&D, coordinate industrial operations, and scale manufacturing across European facilities. The PAC-3 MSE serves as a central pillar of U.S. and NATO air defense, delivering enhanced maneuverability and accuracy against complex aerial threats. Lockheed Martin’s ongoing $9.8 billion U.S. Army contract for nearly 2,000 interceptors is complemented by Diehl’s expertise in European production. By diversifying supply sources and improving industrial interoperability, the partnership aims to ensure reliable delivery of advanced air defense capabilities to allied nations while supporting integrated command systems and future networked missile defense architectures.
