Polish defense firm WB Electronics and South Korea’s Hanwha Aerospace have signed a joint venture agreement to locally produce CGR-80 guided missiles in Poland for the Homar-K system—a Polish adaptation of Hanwha’s well-regarded K239 Chunmoo multiple rocket launch system (MRLS).
The venture splits ownership 51% for Hanwha and 49% for WB Electronics, creating a collaborative structure aimed at establishing Poland as a production hub for advanced rocket technologies. The partnership leverages both companies’ technological and manufacturing strengths and is aligned with Poland’s defense modernization agenda.
Once operations begin, the joint venture will drive both national and regional defense capacity, allowing for greater independence in missile development, supply, and integration within wider European security architectures.
