The US State Department has approved a potential $83.14 million sale of Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System – Alternative Warheads (GMLRS-AW) to Singapore. The package includes 45 M30A2 rocket pods, along with telemetry kits, engineering services, and full logistical support to ensure seamless integration. These precision-guided rockets are designed to strike area targets effectively while minimizing collateral damage. Compatible with Singapore’s HIMARS launchers, the system enhances operational flexibility and rapid response capability. With a range exceeding 70 km and advanced fragmentation technology, it can neutralize infantry, light vehicles, and air defense systems. This deal strengthens Singapore’s defense posture, boosts interoperability with allies, and contributes to maintaining regional security stability.
