The US Navy has successfully completed a full-scale flight test of its first sea-launched hypersonic missile, known as the Conventional Prompt Strike. Conducted at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, the test marked the debut of the missile’s cold-gas launch method — a technique where the missile is ejected from the launch tube before ignition, unlike the traditional hot launch.
