Israeli defense company SMARTSHOOTER has secured a $10.7-million follow-on contract to continue supplying SMASH 2000LE fire-control systems to the US Army. The agreement expands earlier deliveries made to the army, marines, and air force under an ongoing defense procurement framework. Deliveries under the latest award are scheduled through the third quarter of 2026 and will be managed with support from Virginia-based Atlantic Diving Supply. The SMASH 2000LE system combines artificial intelligence, computer vision, and advanced tracking algorithms to improve targeting precision against both ground and aerial threats, particularly drones. The upgraded configuration also introduces networking capabilities that support integrated battlefield data sharing and external command-and-control systems. The technology has already been operationally deployed by the Israel Defense Forces and is increasingly being adopted for NATO-compatible infantry weapons.
