Australian defense tech firm DroneShield has secured three contracts through a regional reseller to deliver handheld drone detection and countermeasure systems, along with accessories, to a European military client. Valued at 61.6 million Australian dollars ($40 million), the systems will be delivered during the third quarter of this year.
This represents DroneShield’s largest contract to date, surpassing its total 2024 revenue. The deal follows a significant order earlier this year worth 32.2 million Australian dollars.
In response to growing international demand, DroneShield is setting up its first overseas manufacturing and assembly site in Europe. The new facility will focus on production, R&D, drone testing, and training, and will help ensure that at least 65% of certain solutions meet European content standards.
