Poland is strengthening its armored warfare support capability through expanded industrial cooperation focused on the sustainment of the M88A2 Hercules armored recovery vehicle. The partnership seeks to establish comprehensive domestic expertise covering maintenance, overhaul, component manufacturing, logistics support, and future production opportunities. The M88A2 plays a vital role in recovering damaged heavy armored vehicles from active combat zones, ensuring continuous battlefield mobility for mechanized formations. Localizing sustainment capabilities enhances operational readiness, reduces dependence on foreign maintenance facilities, and supports long-term industrial resilience while reinforcing NATO’s collective logistics network across Eastern Europe.
