L3Harris Technologies has secured additional US Army orders worth $84 million to provide Falcon AN/PRC-158C software-defined gateway manpack radios supporting the Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) modernization initiative. Designed to deliver secure voice and data communications across multiple waveforms, the two-channel system operates across a broad frequency spectrum while enabling beyond-line-of-sight connectivity between command centers, sensors, combat platforms, and frontline units. The procurement strengthens the Army’s efforts to establish a highly interconnected digital battlefield where information can be exchanged rapidly and securely across diverse operational environments. The latest award follows earlier contracts that positioned the Falcon radio as a core component of the Army’s future communication infrastructure supporting faster decision-making and improved operational coordination.
