Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar has become the cornerstone of modern military sensing by replacing mechanically rotating antennas with electronically controlled transmit/receive modules capable of steering radar beams almost instantaneously. This architecture enables simultaneous target tracking, electronic warfare resistance, terrain mapping, missile guidance, and surveillance within a single integrated system. Widely deployed across fighter aircraft, naval warships, airborne early warning platforms, and ground-based air defense systems, AESA technology offers superior detection accuracy, greater reliability, lower probability of interception, and improved resilience against electronic attack. Continuous advances in Gallium Nitride semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, and sensor fusion are expected to further enhance radar performance across future multi-domain combat operations.
