Australia is investing in next-generation counter-unmanned aerial capabilities through the development of EOS’ R400 SLINGER, an integrated remote weapon station capable of engaging both aerial and surface threats. The platform combines precision-guided rockets with stabilized automatic weapon systems under a unified digital fire-control architecture. Advanced electro-optical sensors, automated target tracking, and rapid engagement software allow operators to respond quickly against fast-moving drones while retaining conventional battlefield effectiveness. Designed and manufactured domestically, the system contributes to Australia’s sovereign defense manufacturing base while providing flexible force protection against increasingly sophisticated unmanned aerial threats in modern operational environments.
