The U.S. Army has awarded a $99.6 million contract to Anduril Industries to spearhead the development of a next-generation command and control (NGC2) prototype system. The effort is part of a broader modernization initiative aimed at enhancing battlefield decision-making and coordination capabilities.

Anduril will lead a consortium known as “Team Anduril,” which includes high-profile technology partners such as Palantir, Striveworks, Govini, Instant Connect Enterprise, Research Innovations, Inc., and Microsoft. The group has been selected under an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement that will span approximately 11 months.

The NGC2 prototype will be delivered to the Army’s 4th Infantry Division for experimental deployment. The system is designed to be modular, scalable, and capable of integrating with existing military infrastructure. Following its delivery, the 4th Infantry Division, in collaboration with the Team Anduril consortium, will conduct a series of hands-on soldier exercises to evaluate its operational effectiveness and adaptability in real-world scenarios.

The testing phase will also explore opportunities for further enhancement of the system, including the potential incorporation of additional vendors and technologies to expand its capabilities.
