Thales and the Dutch Ministry of Defence have launched a major initiative to expand radar production and testing infrastructure at the company’s Hengelo facility. Planned investments include advanced radar testing facilities, an anechoic chamber, additional radar towers, and increased printed circuit board manufacturing capacity. The expansion is expected to increase antenna production by 60 percent by 2028 while strengthening sovereign European defense manufacturing capabilities. The project also includes workforce development and training initiatives to support future radar and sensor programs.
