British Army personnel have completed specialized training on autonomous logistics operations in preparation for participation in Project Convergence Capstone 6 (PCC6), an international military experimentation exercise in the United States. Conducted at the Combat Service Support Trials and Development Unit in Aldershot, the program prepared soldiers to operate autonomous supply convoys using Rheinmetall’s PATH Autonomous Kit integrated onto HX2 military trucks. The technology combines advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, navigation software, and vehicle control systems, enabling both independent and convoy-based autonomous movement across varied terrain. Participants trained in convoy leadership, safety supervision, and tactical convoy management under increasingly complex operational scenarios designed to replicate realistic battlefield logistics. The initiative supports the British Army’s Project MAIA, which evaluates autonomous technologies capable of improving sustainment, reducing personnel exposure, and enhancing operational efficiency in future military operations.
