ParaZero Technologies has secured its first contract for the DefendAir counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) from a major Israeli defense entity, marking a significant milestone for the Kefar Sava-based company. The award reflects growing demand for effective counter-drone solutions as military forces seek to mitigate the expanding threat posed by hostile unmanned aerial systems on the modern battlefield.

DefendAir is a low-collateral counter-drone weapon that neutralizes hostile UAVs by deploying a net to capture and disable targets rather than destroying them. The contract package includes multiple DefendAir units, along with integration support and operator training, enabling rapid fielding and operational readiness. ParaZero noted that the customer is actively expanding its counter-drone capabilities in response to recent conflicts where UAVs have emerged as a primary risk to ground forces and operational infrastructure.

The contract follows a series of international engagements for ParaZero in 2025, including a similar order from a global defense company in October and another from a “prestigious defense organization” earlier in August. In December 2025, the company also conducted live demonstrations of the DefendAir system for NATO representatives and the German military, further boosting its visibility in allied defense markets.

DefendAir can be deployed across multiple configurations, including interception drones, stationary turret systems, and hand-held launchers. Depending on the setup, the system offers an effective engagement range of 2 to 100 meters, with net sizes varying from 9 to 100 square meters. The system can be enhanced with radar sensors, command-and-control relays, and radio-frequency modules, allowing users to tailor the solution to specific operational requirements.
