IAF Garud Special Forces Seek Advanced Micro UAVs India’s Ministry of Defence has issued a Request for Information for a new generation of Micro UAVs to support Indian Air Force Garud Special Forces. The lightweight VTOL drones will perform surveillance, reconnaissance, and target acquisition missions in mountainous terrain. The UAV must operate at altitudes of up to 16,400 feet, provide 60 minutes of endurance, and support encrypted communications, EO/IR sensors, autonomous flight modes, and compatibility with GPS, GLONASS, and NavIC navigation systems.
