The US State Department has greenlit a $304-million foreign military sale to Egypt for AN/TPS-78 long-range radar systems. Alongside the radar units, Cairo will receive KIV-78 encryption devices, GPS systems equipped with anti-spoofing modules, and a range of spare and repair parts. The exact number of radar systems requested has not been disclosed.
