AeroVironment will deliver its proprietary PANTHER phased-array telemetry antennas under a new $43-million agreement supporting the Pentagon’s SkyRange hypersonic weapons testing effort. Installed aboard modified RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft, the digital antenna technology is designed to enhance multi-target tracking and telemetry analysis during complex hypersonic flight trials. The remotely operated and modular system supports multichannel communications without mechanical steering components and can be adapted for both airborne and ground-based operations, helping accelerate advanced missile testing while reducing technical risks and development timelines.
