Northrop Grumman has delivered the first production unit of its EGI-M system, designed to ensure reliable positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) in GPS-denied environments. The system integrates GPS with inertial navigation and applies a “blended navigation” approach to validate data integrity against spoofing or jamming threats. Its modular software architecture supports third-party integration and future upgrades, including compatibility with alternative satellite constellations. The program has progressed through critical design review and successful jamming-resilience trials, now entering full-rate production. → This system strengthens operational resilience in contested electronic warfare environments.
