Echodyne is supplying its EchoShield radar for integration into Trust Automation’s SUADS under a US Air Force contract worth up to $490 million. Built on Sensor Open Systems Architecture, the system supports modular integration across fixed, mobile, and expeditionary platforms. EchoShield uses machine learning to detect, track, and classify drones with high accuracy, offering detection ranges from 1.5 km for micro-UAS to nearly 8 km for small fixed-wing drones. It enhances response time by feeding precise targeting data to counter-drone systems. → This solution strengthens layered defense against the growing threat of unmanned aerial systems.
