L3Harris Technologies has been selected by the US Air Force to develop critical elements of the military’s Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), a secure digital command-and-control infrastructure designed to connect sensors, shooters, and decision-makers across multiple operational domains. ABMS enables real-time exchange and processing of battlefield data, significantly improving situational awareness and accelerating operational decision-making during complex missions. The initiative forms part of the Pentagon’s broader push toward network-centric warfare and Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) capabilities. The award follows several recent milestones for L3Harris, including contracts related to space-based intelligence systems, advanced satellite communication modems, and secure M-Code GPS receivers capable of operating in heavily jammed environments. Together, these developments position L3Harris as a key contributor to the US military’s future digital battlespace architecture.
