RTX is investing $26.5 million to expand Collins Aerospace’s Largo, Florida, production facility to increase output of aviation radar and defense communication systems. The project will create more than 100 jobs and support growing demand for airspace surveillance and military coordination technologies. The upgraded facility will contribute to the Federal Aviation Administration’s Radar System Replacement Program, including production of the Condor Mk3 cooperative radar and the ASR-XM non-cooperative radar. The investment forms part of RTX’s broader manufacturing expansion strategy across the United States and Europe, following recent investments in missile integration, jet engine production, and aerospace forging capabilities. These initiatives reflect rising global demand for advanced sensors, air defense systems, and military aviation technologies.
